This morning we went to the Capitol building. We got to go into the Congress room and watch the representatives speak and vote on amendments. The Congress room was awesome because we got to see what they really do and what happens. After that we took a picture of the whole class in front of the Capitol. While we were taking the picture our representative Jim Renacci stopped and talked to us. He was really nice.
In the afternoon we went to the Holocaust Museum. I liked this because it showed us so much more than we ever learned at home in school. It was so tragic. I thought today was great and horrific to see all of the things that the Nazis did to the Jews just because they didn't like them. I learned that Denmark was the only country to try to save their Jewish citizens. Denmark was able to save 90% of their Jewish citizens.
After the Holocaust Museum we went to the National Archives and looked at the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. It was so amazing to see these documents that are over 200 years old. Aaron Spidell
